About
Your Coach Regena
Hello My Name is Regena Grizzle. I am a certified Grief/Empowerment coach. My journey to becoming a grief coach began after the loss of my husband. It has proven to be the single most difficult time of my life. It can be a lonely and painful experience. Our work together will plant the seeds for finding strength and expanding your vision of what's possible. There is no need for you to feel alone. I can help counteract some of that loneliness and pain through goal setting, which will rebuild the emptiness the loss created. The ingredients for finding stability and hope are closer than you think. Together let's find your new normal with Gratitude and Grace. With a little time and lots of Love my clients will learn that there really is Life after Death. Going from Grief to Gratitude.
What I Offer
The services to be provided by the coach to the client are tele-coaching as designed jointly with the client. Coaching differs from counseling. In coaching we address specific topics related to the griever as he/she embarks on a grief journey. They are having your pain witnessed, honing the ability to express your feelings, learning to release the burden of guilt, to be free of old wounds, to integrate the pain and the love and to find meaning in life after loss. Other services include values clarification, brainstorming, identifying plans of action, examining models of operating in life asking clarifying questions, and making empowering requests.

My experience with Regena was not your usual grief counseling experience. I needed guidance in how to deal with a loved one that was grieving. Regena's assistance, insight, compassion and knowledge was invaluable in helping me navigate the situation. The insight that gleaned from her allowed me to effectively help my loved one through a very sensitive and trying time. Regena has a sensitive approach to counseling, that coupled with personal experience allows her to feel what her clients feel. Thus, making her a soft place to rest while healing one of life's inevitable experiences.

My dad's death left me with a lot of bitterness, unanswered questions, self-doubt, and without my go-to confidant. It was hard to manage when the folks I thought were really my people seemingly forgot that I was grieving and trying to make sense of the life journey. Sometimes it led to making rash decisions that had me living beneath my potential, but Regena Grizzle of Choosing Serenity had great advice via phone, in person and in her blog that helped me open up about how I never really finished grieving. My personal timeline to just get over it had expired, or so i thought, but I'm glad I've been able to comfortably re-examine, continue proactively healing, and grow into a better man.
